Purpose
Supports the California economy by funding training to ensure employers have skilled workers they need to create and retain high-wage, high-skilled, secure jobs in industries that have the greatest positive impact on California’s economy.
Eligible to Access Funding
- Employers funding the training of incumbent workers. For apprenticeship, they fund the training of apprentices after the first year of the apprenticeship. Applicants to the fund are either employer or multi-employer contracts.
Ongoing Funding Core Funds. Performance-based reimbursement for the cost of training, funded by the Employment Training Tax.
