Bridging the Gap between Education and Work through Partnerships

October 4, 2022 - October 4, 2022
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Description: According to an African Proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This sentiment rings true as we explore the role partnerships play in developing innovative and collaborative approaches to bridging education and work. Through partnerships, we can strengthen that bridge and engage in a concerted effort to ensure our students succeed in their career pathways. Join the Grow Apprenticeship California team as we host a pre-conference workshop where we will engage in group learning activities and discuss the importance of broadening the scope of what successful partnerships can look like and how to begin to develop them. Participants will engage in participatory activities during the pre-conference to identify partnerships and share examples of how different connections have benefited work-based programs and the learners they serve.

This Pre-Conference workshop is open to all California Community College Association for Occupational Education (CCCAOE) conference attendees and non-conference attendees. Attendees can expect an educational event designed to provide opportunities to expand content knowledge and skills in a supportive and peer-to-peer learning environment. Please note: This event will have limited space, and we recommend you register no later than September 9, 2022. Happy Hour Event to follow!
